• Since 2023, Lisa has been teaching at Vocal Statements, working with secondary school students across vocational, practical, newcomer, and special education.

    Connection and trust are at the heart of her teaching. From there, she encourages young people to find and use their voice through singing, but also by putting their inner world into words and speaking up about what matters to them and what they stand for.

    Since 2026, Lisa has also been supporting new teachers as a co-teacher during their first teaching programme at Vocal Statements.

  • Since 2026, Lisa has been teaching at NKK NOW, the youth programme of the Netherlands Chamber Choir. Together with singer-songwriter Elaine Hakkaart, she leads two vocal groups for young people in Utrecht aged 9 to 18.

    Throughout the programme, the participants explore songwriting, harmony singing, and performance, with plenty of room to create their own music and discover and develop their individual voices. The programme concludes with a performance at TivoliVredenburg.

  • Alongside her work as a teacher, Lisa leads vocal workshops for a wide range of groups. The joy of singing together is always at the heart of these workshops, with a focus on vocal technique, singing in harmony, and building the confidence to use your own voice.

Lisa’s students are a constant source of inspiration. They challenge her perspective and, when there is enough trust, offer a glimpse into their world and the way they see it. It’s something she learns from every day. Lisa believes that every young person should have equal access to art and music education, regardless of their background or the type of school they attend.
