Lisa Roth is a singer, songwriter, and music teacher from Utrecht.

Music has played a major role in her life from an early age. She studied Jazz & Pop Vocals at the Utrecht Conservatory and then completed the accelerated Music Education program at Codarts in Rotterdam. As a young singer, she won the Concertgebouw Competition. Years later, she returned to the Concertgebouw, where she recorded her graduation film, What I’m Made Of.

In addition to her work as a performing singer, Lisa works as a music teacher and project leader at Vocal Statements, where she guides young people in telling their own stories through music. In recent years, her focus has been primarily on teaching, performing as a backing vocalist, and further developing her musicianship. She is now consciously making room again for her own work as a songwriter and artist.

In her songs, Lisa writes about topics that aren’t always easy to put into words: bottling up feelings, the fear of speaking up, wanting to care for others while simultaneously finding space for your own emotions. For her, songwriting is a way to transform those thoughts and feelings into music that others can relate to.

Musically, Lisa moves between pop and soul, with a sound that blends powerful and warm vocals, layered harmonies, and dreamy productions. She draws inspiration from artists such as Yebba, Sienna Spiro, Lizzy McAlpine, and Carole King, among others.

Lisa is currently working on new music and her first releases from her studio.
